Job Description

The Australian Union Conference is seeking a dynamic individual to join us on a fixed-term basis, to provide maternity leave coverage in the role of Personal Assistant. Step into a rewarding role as the Personal Assistant to the Directors of Children’s, Family & Women’s Ministries and Youth Ministries. This role is integral to the seamless operation of our national office, where you will provide vital administrative support and serve as the primary point of contact for our two Directors.

About you (Selection Criteria)

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a practicing, baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church who has an active relationship with Jesus Christ and a deep desire for worship and service to God. 

In addition to your commitment to our mission, you should possess the following:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of the Church, its policies and operations throughout the Australian Union Conference, and the South Pacific Division is desirable. 
  • Availability to itinerate necessary interstate travel for events and engagements as necessary to responsibly fulfill the duties of this position. 
  • Have a broad understanding of Social Media, Information and Communication Technology and relevant applications. 
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Must be able to keep confidences and work with integrity, communicating in a pleasant and professional manner that is representative of the organisation. 
  • Must have, and maintain eligibility for, a valid Working with Children Check (Employee) or equivalent and meet Adsafe compliance. 
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative roles or a closely related field is desirable.
